Revealing Unsaid Lessons Behind My Two Exits

You’ve been reading my words for a year.

This week, you’ll hear me speak.

I do very few interviews.

But this one felt too important not to share — because it’s not just strategy.

It’s the story that shaped the strategy.

In this 25-minute podcast, I opened up about what it really took to build, scale, and exit two companies — and what I’m building now..

Not the polished version.
The real version.

What I Shared (That Most Founders Don’t Say Out Loud):

I didn’t delegate because I loved control.
I did it out of fear.

Letting go of a business isn’t just a transaction.
It’s an identity crisis.

Your business is not your baby, team is not your family.
That belief quietly kills your performance and your valuation.

We don’t just work hard.
We work hard to justify success — to prove we deserve it.
But that’s not required.

Hustle isn’t noble or heroic. It’s noise.
Real growth began when I slowed down and started building it as a business — by design, not default.

I didn’t self-fund to be scrappy.
I did it to stay sovereign.
Because if freedom was the goal, I couldn’t trade it for speed.

Revenue ≠ Wealth.
Exit = Wealth. And that takes design.
We can play to our strengths. And we are allowed to move on to explore new and different things.

These aren’t just lessons I teach — they’re lessons I’ve lived.

Muji vs Red Bull: What strong brands refuse to do

I’m a huge fan of Muji. I’m not a Red Bull person at all. Muji is quiet, minimal, almost invisible. Red Bull is loud, everywhere, impossible to miss. They sit at opposite extremes, yet both are wildly successful. I’ve been obsessing over these two lately because I caught myself wobbling

I Paused Execution to Think Long-Term

It’s Tuesday morning, and I still don’t have this week’s letter ready for Thursday. That’s not my standard practice. I’ve spent most of last week working on something that doesn’t show up on any dashboard. I’ve been clarifying my circle of competence and my moat. The two things that will largely decide what

Why I started wearing a hairband on my wrist

A few years ago, I was having a working lunch with my operations head. Midway through the conversation, she paused and looked at my wrist. “I keep seeing that hairband on your wrist,” she said.“And you don’t even have long hair. What is it?” I hesitated. It wasn’t a secret,
